August 28 Raid: Scientology's Hollywood Bookstore is up for lease!
Started our raid at 7pm in front of the HGB (Hollywood Guarantee Building, where the LRH Life Exhibit is). Then we moved down to their bookstore a couple blocks down. Even though it was open and the lights were on, there was a sign at the top of the building with a leasing company (ironically named “SP”) and a phone number. Also: mask projections, commercial filming, and critical mass (or Crank Mob).

Making fun of Scientology is, by far, the most effective protest action. By subjecting the cult to ridicule, its power is sapped, the message is sent to the public in a fun way, and it highlights the difference between those in the cult on those not. How many Scilons do you see smiling and having a goof time?

We’ve been making protests fun since we started.
Also, I wouldn’t say we were “making fun of them”. We were using their own language in a joking way. At least I wouldn’t consider it “making fun of them”.

Exactly why making fun of them right in their face will only make them more sure that anonymous is against them. from what i’m aware of; anonymous is against scientology not scientologist. Making fun of scientology=good making fun of scientologist=bad. Again,,, that’s from a non-anonymous, non-scientologist perspective. This is way too serious to have fun with. That said, i’m very proud of all the effort made to help free those people. Keep it up!

Are you referring to the joking outside of the HGB? Nothing wrong with a little bit of humor. But that’s something most Scientologists don’t have.

I dont think making fun of scientologist is a good way to protest the institution. Teaching about what scientology realy does; spreading the information to the public and cult members is from my non-anonymous perspective a better way to help bringing down the cult.

I don’t know, one of the anons had an iPhone. Although I think I recall seeing a downloadable looping video for an iPod with the Guy Fawkes mask. See if you can find something like that on Google.
