    No, Blue Cross/Blue Shield is probably not going to cover this treatment, as it is primarily an aesthetic restoration. However, if your dental provider can certify that it is the treatment of choice for functional restorations to replace missing, decayed, or fractured portions of the teeth, then they might help you pay for the process.

    I dont think so but call Blue Cross or ask your dentist office to pre authorize any work. It depends on the reason probably.

    Every Blue Cross Blue Shield plan (for the most part) is separate on a state by state basis. Furthermore, each employer chooses different benefits. A lot of people say things like, “Blue Cross doesn’t cover XXXXX” or, “you can count on Blue Cross to cover XXXXX.” It’s all false. Blue Cross Blue Shield covers what ever your EMPLOYER chooses to pay for. You should call the 800 number on the back of your BCBS card to request information about specific benefit pay-outs.
